Plans of management
Noel Ruting, Director of LandArc, has prepared a broad range of significant area, geographic and generic plans of management for local government and the NSW Department of Lands. Most of these plans of management have required identification, assessment of ecological values and preparation of conservation strategies for threatened species and endangered ecological communities. Noel has specialist expertise in preparing plans of management including community consultation, land assessment methodologies, analysis and preparation of performance-based action plans, leases and licences, landscape master plans and capital works programs. Community engagement is vital component of all projects. Noel has extensive experience in the coordination of public meetings, collaborative workshops and facilitation involving councillors, council staff, government agencies/ NGOs, stakeholder/ interest groups and the broader community. Noel has also chaired Public Hearings (Categorisation of Community lands) on behalf of local councils. Plans of management have been prepared for Community land, Crown reserves and other government lands in accordance with requirements under the Local Government Act 1993, Crown Lands Act 1989, Crown reserves case law, policy guidelines and other relevant State and Federal legislation. |
